For teachers using Classwize, also called Linewize Classroom Manager. Controls can vary by device and district settings.
A student is missing from your class
- Confirm you opened the correct class.
- Ask the student to check that they are signed in with their own district account, not another student’s account.
- If the class roster is wrong, submit a help ticket with the class or section and the affected student. IT will check the roster and account setup.
A student appears offline or their screen is missing
- Start the class and allow a moment for student devices to connect.
- Check that the student has an internet connection and is using their assigned district device.
- Have the student save their work, restart the device, and reopen Chrome with their own district account.
- For a Chromebook, check for ChromeOS updates if the problem continues.
Some devices or district settings may not support the same screen-view features. If the tile says Live View disabled, it may be a screen-visibility restriction rather than a connection problem. Contact IT if it appears incorrect.
A website stays blocked
A classroom rule and a district Linewize rule are different. Check your active class restrictions. If the site is still blocked, send IT the exact URL and a screenshot of the block page. Do not remove or disable the filtering app or extension.
Request help
Include your school, class or section, affected student, device type, exact message, and checks already tried. Put student details in the help ticket, not a public article comment.
