Use the district’s step-by-step guide to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) for your BSD account.

Open the MFA guide in a new page if the embedded guide does not load or is difficult to use.

New phone or old phone unavailable

Restoring Microsoft Authenticator from a phone backup does not finish setting up a work or school account. Register the new phone before erasing or trading in the old one whenever possible.

  1. If you can still verify a sign-in with your old phone or another method already registered to your account, open Microsoft Security info.
  2. Select Add sign-in method, choose Microsoft Authenticator, and follow the prompts to register the new phone.
  3. Confirm the new phone works before removing an old method.

If no registered method works, contact the BSD Help Desk. Installing the app again or changing your password alone will not restore the missing verification method. Do not delete your account from the app while trying to recover access.

Need help?

If you cannot use your registered verification method, contact the BSD Help Desk. Do not share verification codes or approve an unexpected sign-in request.
