Adding a printer to a Chromebook, to alleviate using Google Cloud Print. For District use, Google Cloud print has proven to be unreliable and is not the preferred method of cloud printing. Please see the following:
- Select the three little dots in the top right hand corner of the Chrome browser.
- Select Help and then choose About Google Chrome.
- Select Chrome OS Settings in the middle of the screen.
- Select Advanced on the right side and the choose Printing.
- Click the little blue icon to the right of the Add Printer option.
- Enter the IP address of the printer.
- Select AppSocket (TCP/IP) for the protocol.
- Leave the queue as ipp/print and hit the Add button.
- Select a manufacturer of the printer and then choose the specific model.
- Click Add.
