This generally happens when a file is attempted to be saved on the desktop of the Chromebook. To resolve the problem,
- Power off the chromebook.
- When turning back on and it gives message about "old password"
- Click :"I can't remember my password" and then click "proceed anyway" (Your information will not be lost - it is web-based not local data.)
- The student will then be able to log on and access all cloud based resources.
