The District uses an automated service created by Frontline called Absence Management that streamlines the process of finding substitutes and managing absences. In Absence Management, request a substitute, sign up for sub jobs, enter absences, and see leave balances.
Substitutes can search for daily jobs even using the mobile app. Absence Management uses both the internet and/or telephone for managing this process.
